East Sunnyside
Beginning Monday, April 29th and continuing over the next few weeks, East Sunnyside Lane will be closed at Route 9 to facilitate Con Edison gas construction restoration work. This closure will be Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm. Irvington and Tarrytown Police Officers will be on scene for Traffic Control. School buses and emergency vehicles will be able to enter through Route 9. All residential and hotel traffic will have to enter from Taxter Road during the work hours. As work continues east on Sunnyside Lane the traffic plan will be updated. This project is anticipated to last 3 to 4 weeks.
Miller Park:
- There will be Con Edison work on Independence from Miller to Broadway.
- There will be Con Ed gas service work to switch from the old gas main to the new gas main on Riverview MacArthur and Bridge Streets.
Crest Neighborhood:
- The new gas mains in the Barnes Road area will be activated next week.
- Highland Avenue work will be continuing for the next month.
- The next phase of work in the Crest will include Union east from Sunnyside, Irving, Lake, Putnam and Sunnyside, and will start in the next 2 to 3 weeks.
Gas Line Repair Work:
There are two locations of gas line repair work next week:
1) Benedict and Highland
2) Broadway and Prospect
