Greetings!
I am writing on behalf of the AATOD Workshop Committee to share exciting information about the 2024 AATOD Conference. The conference is being held May 18 – 22, 2024, at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will be a great opportunity to meet with colleagues, share experiences and insights, learn about new innovative initiatives, and discuss emerging policy developments.
The workshop committee is pleased to present a dynamic workshop lineup that includes extremely rich and diverse educational content for all disciplines. You will hear from experts who will share the latest research and developments relating to opioid use disorders and treatment. The workshop lineup will include state of the art information on diverse areas of focus such as patient care and best practices, building community partnerships, public policy and regulatory changes, workforce development, quality assurance, and financial reimbursement. There will be workshops that focus on emerging treatment trends and developments such as the fentanyl epidemic, mobile opioid treatment programs, expansion of treatment services in rural areas, integrating treatment with the corrections systems, and integrating harm reduction initiatives. For those newer to the field or those who want a refresher on the basics, we have once again included a “Foundations” track which will include selections on the fundamentals of medication assisted treatment.
In addition to outstanding workshop selections, there will be two days of content rich pre-conference sessions on Saturday May 18th and Sunday, May 19th. You can enhance your conference experience by attending these valuable sessions.
An important aspect of any conference is the ability to interact and network with colleagues. The conference will once again include several networking opportunities including “Hot Topic Roundtable” discussion forums for you to participate in which will be moderated by experts in the field. Join your colleagues in lively debate and discussion on topics such as the design and implementation of mobile opioid treatment programs, addressing the fentanyl epidemic, integrating peer support services, and best practices in treating concurrent opioid and stimulant use.
There will also be several poster presentations that you can view during the conference and there will be poster author sessions scheduled so that you will have an opportunity to discuss the content with them.
