Uxbridge BIA Easter Eggstravaganza

On March 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., join the Uxbridge BIA for an egg-citing Easter Eggstravaganza in downtown Uxbridge. Kids 12 and under, accompanied by adults, are welcome to come hunt for Easter eggs at participating businesses within the Uxbridge BIA. There will be photos with the Easter Bunny at the BIA Hut in the Circle K parking lot, along with other fun activities and promotions for the whole family during the event.

Central Counties Tourism (CCT) 2024 Symposium: Tourism Now

Join CCT for the highly anticipated 2024 Symposium, Tourism Now on April 9, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Toronto Markham.


This year’s event will focus on embracing new technologies and learning how they can work for tourism. Through a mix of speakers and panel sessions, the event will fuel creativity and collaboration, and strengthen business excellence.

Township Of Brock 2024 Mayor's Networking Business Event

Join the Township of Brock's 2024 Mayor's Networking Business Event on April 15 at 5:30 p.m. at Beaverton Town Hall.


This free networking event is an opportunity for the township to provide municipal and Regional updates, to help you better serve the community.


Local business owners are encouraged to register online, and provide suggestions for topics of discussion. Boujee Bites Is Back!

The second annual Boujee Bites event invites self-proclaimed “foodies”, from across Ontario, to sample bite-sized treats from some of Oshawa's most delicious restaurants.


Join Oshawa Tourism on June 5, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery (RMG) to eat, drink, network and explore the latest art exhibitions. 

New this year, the event will also include the ultimate Oshawa Food Fight—crowning the culinary champions in various categories, including Sushi Rolls, Cauliflower Bites, Eggs Benedict, Burgers and Shawarma Plates.

🏆 The athletes have returned home. The roar of the crowds has quieted. But thanks to an outstanding legacy fund of $145,579, the Durham Region 2023 Ontario Parasport Games will have a positive impact in our community for years to come. 🔴 The 2024 Quadball Canada National Championship will be held from March 16 to 17 at the Oshawa Civic Recreation Complex. Previously, Durham Region hosted the Eastern Regional Championships (in 2017, 2018 and 2022). Oshawa’s high-caliber facilities, incredible event support staff, and commitment to a quality player experience, make it the ideal host for the 2024 National Championship—which will be the first National Championship under the name “Quadball Canada.” Approximately 200 athletes, from teams across the country, will be travelling to Durham Region for the event. Admission is free for spectators to come and join the excitement. Learn more about this event.


🌊 The annual Polar Plunge for Special Olympics is back—one of the biggest fundraisers for our Special Olympics athletes! Get ready to plunge with Durham Regional Police Service and the Oshawa Generals on March 19. Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by polar plunges at 11 a.m. This fun day will provide you with an opportunity to wear your favourite costume and make a big splash! All funds raised will support programming and events for 23,000 athletes across the province. Learn more about the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics.


🥌 The 2024 Canadian Police Curling Championship will be held from April 6 to 13 at the Whitby Curling Club. Spectators are encouraged to come cheer on police officers from across the country as they represent their provinces in this event that mirrors the Tim Hortons Brier and Scotties Tournament of Hearts competitions. Event organizers are still seeking sponsorship and support from local businesses and volunteers. In addition to the sponsorship opportunities listed on the website, there are many ways our community can lend support (such as restaurant discounts, food and beverage sponsorships and more).
