on October 15
Silent Sundays at the Mission Playhouse continue on October 15 at 2:30 p.m. with The Hunchback of Notre Dame(1923) starring Lon Chaney, also known as "The Man of a Thousand Faces." LA County Residents Encouraged to Get
Updated COVID-19 Vaccine
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is encouraging all residents to plan for vaccination as the new updated COVID-19 vaccine becomes available across the county. It is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and above, even if they have received an earlier vaccine, had COVID-19 previously, or have never been vaccinated before. There are no out-of-pocket costs and the vaccine is free regardless of insurance or immigration status.
Immunity to COVID-19 infections wanes over time and new variant strains emerge, making the updated vaccine the best protection against severe illness, hospitalization, long-term COVID, and death from COVID-19. The vaccine provides protection against the COVID-19 strains that are currently circulating.
To check if appointments are available, visit myturn.ca.gov.
To learn more about the updated COVID-19 vaccine, visit publichealth.lacounty.gov/vaccines.
