Check out the program resources available to support schools and child care facilities to complete their required lead in drinking water testing at www.gettheleadoutnh.org!


All facilities can receive technical support, and public schools and licensed child care facilities can receive free sample analyses. Funding for the program is provided by the US EPA Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation (WIIN) Act.

NHDES Asset Management Workshop


The annual NHDES Asset Management Workshop is back this fall with a theme of "Bringing It All Together"! Every year, utility managers and operators, public works staff, community administration, consultants, and other asset management professionals and enthusiasts come together to learn about important asset management topics relating to drinking water, stormwater and wastewater infrastructure.


Mark your calendar for October 30, 2024, at the Edward Cross Training Facility in Pembroke, New Hampshire. We hope you join us!

2024 Water Sustainability Grant Program


Grants available in the upcoming round include:


  • Asset Management grants of up to $30,000 for developing new asset management programs or up to $20,000 for improvements to existing asset management programs.



  • Strategic Planning grants of up to $30,000 for developing preliminary engineering and/or hydrogeological reports.


All grants will require a match of 50% of the awarded grant amount. The application and additional details will be available beginning in September 2024 for applications due by November 15, 2024. For more information, please contact Katie Curtis at kaitlin.e.curtis@des.nh.gov or (603) 271-2472.
