Summer Reading in preparation for the 2024-2025 school year

Students entering the grades below are expected to have completed the summer reading book by the first day of school. Activities and grades will be given at the start of school based on the novels and books listed below.


Kindergarten: Incoming Kindergarten students should read or be read books of their choice. Color one picture on the Kindergarten summer reading log for every 20 minutes of reading completed during the summer break. Bring the summer reading log to school on the first day of Kindergarten.


1st grade: Incoming first graders should read or be read 5 books of their choice. Students will choose one of the 5 books to complete the book report provided to be turned in on the first day of school. 


2nd grade: The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein


3rd grade: A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon


4th grade: Skinnybones by Barbara Park

Bus Service Request for 2024-2025

To receive bus service for the upcoming school year, the Google form linked below must be completed for all children in the family. Upon completion of the form a confirmation email will be sent by East Baton Rouge Transportation Department.

Summer Office Hours / Items Left on Last Day / Lost & Found

2024 Summer Office Hours


Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm


The School Office will be closed on the following days: May 24, 27 - 31

July 4 - 5


Any items left in the classroom on the last day of school, including (but not limited to) report cards, awards, school supplies, personal belongings, will be available for pick up in the school office until June 27th. Any items not picked up by 12 p.m. on June 27th will be discarded or donated.


Lost and Found Items

The pictured items were found on the school's campus throughout the school year. Please visit the school office to claim lost items if any belong to you. Any items not picked up by June 27th will be donated.
