Welcome to the Holistic Child Health Newsletter.

 

The goal of my holistic pediatric practice, and of this newsletter, is to inform and support parents to become more empowered as the primary health care providers for their children. Extending far beyond Western medicine's conventional treatments, holistic medicine and mindful parenting allow us to boost children's natural immunity, support their optimum health and wellness, safely heal any illnesses, and prevent disease-without dangerous side effects.  Holistic medicine provides us with the tools to nurture the physical, emotional, social and spiritual health of your children.

 

Over the coming months and years, I intend to use this newsletter to address some of your concerns as parents, share information that you might want to add to your knowledge base, and inform you of important issues and current events that are happening in the news, and in your area.

 

Together we can heal the whole child. Naturally.

Dr. Palevsky's Comments: Offit added that he's troubled by so-called journalistic "balance" when the contentions of only one side is supported by science. He called, instead, for "perspective" in reporting. Offit also responded with the idea that we should have "journalism jail" for individual journalists who might be considered a party to murder, who write stories about "debates" on vaccines, and then people end up dying from not being vaccinated. David Kroll, author of this Forbes article, is a pro-forced vaccination proponent and a supporter of Paul Offit.  

It has been asked why journalists don't put up another doctor/scientist to offer the other side of the debate...the answer is because most people in Offit's field will not enter into a debate. They already believe they hold the truth, and have all the facts. Entering into a debate, for them, is not necessary, since there is nothing to really discuss. In addition, any doctor or scientist on the other side of the debate re: the vaccine issue will end up running the risk of losing his/her license, lab, career, and possibly even his/her life, for speaking up in public.

Dr Palevsky, I am pregnant with my first child and I am being pressured into giving my vaccines, starting with the Hepatitis B in the hospital when I give birth. My gut tells me not to allow it and now I see this article (below) confirming my fears. Why is the Hepatitis B vaccine given and what should I consider in making my decision about whether or not to allow it for my soon-to-be-born child?

There were never any good, sound, medical reasons for giving the hepatitis B vaccine to all newborns. Yet, my colleagues in the medical profession just laid down and accepted the mandate, without allowing for proper dialogue and discussion to measure its rationale. As if this vaccine was really going to save many children from a disease that only afflicts a very small percentage of the high-risk adult population, and then, only leads to liver cancer, and death, in an even a smaller percentage of afflicted adult population. 

  

The first version of this hepatitis B vaccine contained thimerosal, which until the early 2000's, contributed to the brain poisoning of millions of children. Here is an example of a study published in September-October 2008 where the authors found statistically significant evidence to suggest that boys in the US who were vaccinated with a series of three thimerosal containing hepatitis B vaccines during the 1990's, were more susceptible to developmental disability than were boys who were unvaccinated. Here is another small study demonstrating the subtle depression of macaque infant reflexes after they were given the thimerosal containing hepatitis B vaccine after birth. (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20711932). This finding reflects the probable damage that was done to their brains at the hands of the thimerosal containing hepatitis B vaccine, most likely through an inflammatory process. Had the authors continued to follow the developmental progress of these macaque monkeys, they would have come to understand whether this degree of immediate neurological depression secondary to the hepatitis B vaccine would have had any lasting effects on their brain development later on. 

  

A recent study suggests, however, that even fleeting inflammation in the mouse brain, at a crucial enough period during gestation or early infancy, can lead to permanent motor and behavioral problems later on. (http://researchnews.osu.edu/archive/brainiron.htm). Vaccines are well known to induce an inflammatory reaction in the body, but no appropriate studies have ever been done to examine if this inflammation affects the infant brain, and whether this inflammation impacts brain development going forward. 

  

How many human newborns experienced brain inflammation after exposure to thimerosal containing hepatitis B vaccines, which led to the development of permanent brain injury? How many continue to experience the same subtle damage, now that the hepatitis B vaccines contain aluminum, another known neurotoxin? Even the American Academy of Pediatrics published a paper titled, Aluminum Toxicity in Infants & Children, in the Pediatrics Journal, vol. 97, No. 3, March 1996, claiming, "aluminum is now being implicated as interfering with a variety of cellular and metabolic processes in the nervous system and in other tissues." Yet, the level to which aluminum, injected into the bodies of less-than 12 hour-old infants, and infants and children at other ages, affects the degree of inflammation in their bodies and brains has never been scientifically evaluated, even as we continue to see a rise in the number of children with permanent motor and behavioral problems, and other significant developmental disabilities. The conversation about vaccines is becoming more and more polarized. Vaccines are not safe; vaccines are safe. The risks from vaccines are greater than the risks of the diseases; the benefits of vaccines far outweigh the risks of the vaccines. Either/or are your only options, but no real conversation is likely, or allowed, for that matter. 

In this lecture, Dr. Palevsky will address the scientific principles that form the underpinnings of the vaccine program - disease eradication, herd immunity, contagiousness, germ theory, germ exposure, how vaccines work, how vaccines stop the spread of disease, how unvaccinated children and adults are responsible for the spread of disease, and the significance of antibody production as a sign of exposure to, and protection from, disease. You will hear him discuss and tease through these basic foundational beliefs, and open your eyes to what is fact, and what is myth yet passed off as fact, in order for the powers-that-be to unilaterally maintain and expand the vaccine program as the only way to stop disease. Dr. Palevsky will also discuss scientific literature that sheds light on what vaccines actually do to the immune system, what the injection of vaccine materials, bacteria and viruses may mean to your health, and what role bacteria and viruses play in our lives. As you begin to see that many of the generally accepted foundational beliefs of the vaccine program are not true, and are not based on proven scientific principles, you might leave wondering if administering vaccines actually makes any sense, at all.

ABOUT DR PALEVSKY

Dr. Palevsky is a board certified pediatrician who utilizes a holistic approach in his work with children and families. 

 

Dr. Palevsky received his medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine in 1987, completed a 3-year pediatric residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, and enrolled in a 1-year fellowship training program in the out-patient department at Bellevue Hospital/NYU School of Medicine. 

 

Since 1991, his clinical experience has included working in pediatric emergency medicine at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in the Bronx, NY, serving as the Chief of the Pediatric Acute Care Unit at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC, and working in in-patient and out-patient pediatric medicine, neonatal intensive care medicine, and newborn and delivery room medicine. 

 

Dr. Palevsky has also worked in a conventional, holistic and integrative pediatric practice at the NYC Beth Israel Center for Health & Healing- an integrative and complementary care medical facility.

Currently, he runs his own holistic pediatric practice in Northport, NY and Manhattan. Dr. Palevsky teaches holistic integrative pediatric & adolescent medicine to parents, and medical and allied health professionals, both nationally & internationally. 

 

Dr. Palevsky is a former Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Past-President of the American Holistic Medical Association, and a diplomate of the American Board of Integrative Medicine (ABIHM).
