St Patrick's Day Parade Toronto

A community event in celebrating Irish culture history and heritage. The parade is recognized as the largest Irish-themed event held in Toronto. Parade Begins 12:00 PM, line of march lasts one and a half hours at any given point along the route.

The City of Toronto has opened applications for restaurants to participate in the popular Summerlicious program, which returns July 7 to 23. Applications will be accepted from March 1 until March 22 at 11:59 p.m.

Summerlicious 2023 is designed to make it easy and affordable for restaurants to participate and will encourage more Toronto residents to dine out and celebrate Toronto’s diverse culinary scene.

City of Toronto opens applications for CaféTO curb lane cafés

Starting this week, local restaurant and bar owners and operators interested in expanding outdoor dining space into curb lanes and sidewalks through the City of Toronto’s CaféTO program can apply for permits online at www.toronto.ca/CafeTO until Tuesday, March 28 at 11:59 p.m.

Funding available to improve appearance of commercial buildings

The City of Toronto’s Commercial Façade Improvement Grant Program provides funding to eligible commercial property owners and tenants to improve the appearance of a commercial building’s façade by providing a new look, enhancing neighborhoods streetscapes, and providing a more pleasant environment to work, shop and eat. Apply by May 4.


College Station Construction until 2023

As part of the TTC’s commitment to safety and modernization, College Station (Line 1) will be getting a new second exit/entrance, and elevators to improve customer safety, accessibility and convenience.

New Naloxone Requirement for Certain Businesses

As of June 1, 2023, the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) will require that naloxone be available in some workplaces in case a worker has an opioid overdose. The requirements do not change how an employer may choose to manage worker impairment from drugs or alcohol that may pose a risk to workplace safety.
