  • Calling all artists - help us enliven the area around the Forum as we begin to imagine the future Art's District.

February Events


  • Black History Month - The Metuchen Downtown Alliance and the Metuchen Human Relations Commission celebrated Black History Month with trailblazers, ground breakers and international legends with posters will be displayed in store windows around Downtown Metuchen.


  • Conversation Corner Ribbon Cutting/ Art Unveiling - Saturday, February 25th- A new place for residents to chat and relax, coming to the corner of New Street and Center Street near the Senior Center made possible with a Community Challenge Grant from AARP. The benches have arrived and have been installed. The mosaic artist, Donna Slevin, joined us to unveil her piece ' The Shining Borough' and will graciously teach a class for members of the Senior Center. We were also fortunate to have Patrick Gerity, a renowned local bench reviewer, take the time to give his expert opinion on the new seating area.


  • Restaurant Week- Thank you to all who participated! It was DELICIOUS!

  • We are pleased to congratulate Edna Epelu, owner of Papillon & Company Metuchen, for receiving a Resolution from the State Senate for her achievements as a small business owner. Edna's collection of art and home goods brings visitors from all around looking for unique and interesting items. We are lucky to have her as part of Metuchen's Downtown.
