Downtown Notes
It's bittersweet for Historic Arkansas Museum to celebrate its 75th anniversary this Saturday evening during its 20th Candlelight Gala. Its members and guests will also be celebrating HAM's director, Bill Worthen, who will be retiring at the end of 2016 after over 40 years on the job, or at the end of the 75th year. There have been many articles printed recently about the occasion including a piece by Bill himself here. Arkansas Times includes a good history of the museum and the event here. We at the Downtown Little Rock Partnership also wish to salute Bill's many contributions to the museum and to downtown and wish him a great 75th year!
