The City of Little Rock is making it easier for citizens to connect to non-emergency City services with a new Little Rock 311 mobile app. Available now in the Apple App and Google Play stores, the app allows us to select from a list of service requests, take a photo, pinpoint a location, and submit the request, all from our mobile devices. The request categories currently available on the app include missed yard waste, ditch maintenance, pothole repair, and graffiti on streets, signs, or sidewalks.

The Arkansas Arts Center in MacArthur Park is accepting entries for the 58th Annual Delta Exhibition which will be on display June 10 - August 28, 2016. The deadline to submit entries is March 11.

What is now a showcase for Arkansas's history, art and heritage began as a diamond in the rough, a half-block of dilapidated historic structures. Thanks to the efforts of pioneering preservationist Louise Loughborough the Historic Arkansas Museum opened on July 19, 1941, as the Arkansas Territorial Capitol Restoration. Click here to watch a special 75th anniversary film produced by Cranford Co.

DLRP member University of Arkansas at Little Rock will open a Food Pantry every Thursday beginning February 4 and will be open to all UALR students, faculty and staff in need of assistance. According to the College and University Food Bank Alliance (CUFBA), food insecurity has increasingly become an issue on college and university campuses and can pose a significant barrier to student success, affecting all demographic statuses, enrollment levels, and geographic locations. To learn more about the Trojan Food Pantry or to donate items link here.

The UALR William H. Bowen School of Law has been recognized for excellence in public service careers preparation by the National Jurist, a pre-Law magazine. Law schools were recognized for those who do best in three categories--public interest, government and prosecutors/public defenders. Bowen School of Law was ranked sixth in the government category and 17th in the prosecutors/public defenders category.
