Hello Newsletter Readers,
Today marks the Second Annual Boulder Strong Day of Remembrance. Two years ago, our community tragically lost 10 beloved individuals in a mass shooting. As we move forward from this tragedy, Downtown Boulder Partnership stands with the City of Boulder in a commitment to remembering those who are no longer with us, offering support to one another and coming together as a community.
The Day of Remembrance event will take place this evening (March 22) from 5:30 - 6:30 pm at eTown Hall. The event is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required and in-person attendance is limited. The event will be livestreamed, and a recording will be made available on the City of Boulder website.
“The Day of Remembrance is a way for us to honor the victims, acknowledge the collective trauma our community has experienced and bring community members together with art and music,” said City of Boulder Mayor Aaron Brockett.
Community members who are experiencing trauma related to the tragic events of March 22, 2021 are encouraged to visit the Boulder Strong Resource Center at 2935 Baseline Road in Boulder. We dedicate this newsletter in loving memory of Eric, Rikki, Denny, Teri, Neven, Lonna, Suzanne, Kevin, Lynn and Jody.
