Hello Newsletter Readers,

Happy Wednesday! The district is in a celebratory mood and can't wait to share all of the upcoming October happenings.

Even as the weather cools, make sure you give a warm welcome to a new business joining the district. In case you missed their grand opening last week, Pendleton opened a shop at 1102 Pearl and can't wait to bundle you up in their collections of wool clothing, blankets, accessories and more!

First Bite returns to celebrate Boulder's superior dining scene Saturday, October 20th - Sunday, October 29th. This year there are 11 downtown restaurants featured: Bohemian Biergarten, Gemini, Japango, Jill's Restaurant, Masas & Agave Boulder, Organic Sandwich Company, Pasta Press, Postino WineCafe, River & Woods, Rosetta Hall and Sforna Trattoria Romana. Ready to get your First Bite on? Reservations are being accepted through the restaurants directly! Learn more here.

In addition to dining, head downtown this weekend to celebrate [placeholder] festival (and yes, you read that right)! Friday, October 20th - Sunday, October 22nd, join in on immersive art exhibits, live music performances and interact with local community groups all throughout downtown.

Check out more happenings in our monthly Things to Do Downtown blog.

We promise that as abstract as the events' name is, "[placeholder] festival" is not a typo! This festival celebrates YOU and what you make of downtown's places and spaces! Picture your favorite place downtown: Where is it? What does it look like? How do you feel when you are there? This is the power of place and space - it's completely dependent on how you activate it!

This three-day event will feature a multitude of activities and express them through an array of mediums including art, live music, performances and so much more! Did we mention your favorite community groups and organizations will be featured? Join familiar faces from Studio Arts Boulder, The New Local, Community Cycles, Lolita's Market, World Singing Day and meet new faces along the way! View the daily event schedule and learn more here.

15thstgarage image

Parking looks a little different downtown...the City of Boulder Parking Garages have gone gateless! If you haven't already, make sure to register your vehicle with Metropolis. All you need to do is register your license plate and add your credit card information- then you're saved in the system and are all set to park!

Though a few changes have been made for the better, a few things remain the same (also for the better):

  • City of Boulder parking garages remain free on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and city holidays.
  • 15-minute grace periods remain free in city garages (Please note: you must be registered to receive the grace period).
  • Entering and exiting city garages between 3 PM and 3 AM remains at a $3 flat rate.

Planning a trip downtown? Parking should not be a worry! View the City of Boulder Public Parking Map here. Pro Tip: City parking garages are always a great go-to and easy to use!
