Double Your Impact!

Whether you are a donor, an activist, a public health enthusiast, or all of these, your connection to MPHA reminds us that we are not alone in this work and our quest for a healthier, more equitable Massachusetts.

With the end of year approaching, we hope you will consider making a donation to MPHA. Your investment will help change the trajectory of the public health needs in your community and across the Commonwealth.

And for the next 10 days, your impact doubles! Our board of directors has pledged to match every dollar you donate up to the next $3000 we raise. Thank you for investing in public health solutions!

Let’s be SAPHE, Not Sorry!

In case you missed it, the Boston Globe published an article on November 27 that sheds light on the ongoing challenges faced by the state's patchwork local public health system and our efforts to build the 21st-century system that Massachusetts desperately needs and our residents deserve. Once again, the SAPHE 2.0 Act is almost at the finish line. So, we cannot let up now! And that’s where you can make all the difference by calling or emailing your state legislators today!

RTAAC Receives Gateway Cities Champion Award

We're thrilled to announce that the Regional Transit Authority Advocates Coalition (RTAAC), co-chaired by Alexis Walls, MPHA's Assistant Campaign Director, was honored with the Gateway Cities Champion Award at MassINC's 11th Annual Gateway Cities Innovation Institute Summit on November 14th. Since its launch in 2018, RTAAC has united over 80 community groups, public health advocates, transportation experts, and local leaders, providing a strong, unified voice for RTA communities outside of the metro Boston area. This past year, the RTAAC won a historic $56 million increase in state funding to bolster transit operations in the 250 RTA communities beyond the reach of MBTA bus and subway service. This is an important step in ensuring all residents have the ability to get where they need to go. Congratulations to RTAAC on this well-deserved recognition!
