OAG April Meeting
Leslie Lienau, View Frame
Monday, April 20
Oklahoma Contemporary Arts - 7-9pm

As a seasoned art instructor, Leslie Lienau, the founder of Miira Artist Tools? knew there was a simpler and fun way to take reality to canvas. As with many great inventions, patent pending View Frame by Miira Artist Tools? and mobile app Miira for iOS? were developed out of Leslie Lienau's own desire to create modern problem solving tools for visual artists and art instructors.
Leslie will demonstrate and teach the many ways artists and art instructors can use View Frame and the mobile app, Miira for iOS to learn and to solve many foundational as well as compositional problems.

Leslie was raised in New Mexico and since 1991 has made Oklahoma her home. She studied with Ted Seth Jacobs at his school Ecole Albert DeFois in Central France. Other instructors who have influenced Leslie are Anthony Ryder and Jacob Collins. She combines her explorative and impressionistic style of current works with the training of classical realism, allowing her to draw on the artistic voice within. Leslie has received numerous awards, which include, Honourable Mention, Laguna Beach Museum of Art, Laguna Beach, CA; First Place for pastels, Austin Alliance Art Festival, Austin, TX 2007; First Place for pastels, Crested Butte Art Festival, Crested Butte, CO 2007 and First Place for pastels, Mayfest International, Tulsa, OK 2008. Leslie's work is in both private and public collections. Her work has been exhibited in a solo exhibit at the Governor's Gallery at the Oklahoma Capitol, Oklahoma City, OK and at the American Art in Miniature Show at the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, OK. Leslie is the founder and principle instructor of The Conservatory For Classical Art, a private studio school in Edmond, OK where she teaches drawing and painting in the classical tradition to both children and adults.
