Last November, the Littleton Business Chamber supported, and Littleton voters approved a 5% Lodger’s Tax with a portion of the proceeds dedicated to promoting tourism. The $900,000 in estimated annual revenue from the new tax must be used to “promote and support arts and culture, tourism, and visitor promotion within the City of Littleton…. including the support of Bemis Library, the Littleton Museum, the Town Hall Arts Center, Hudson Gardens, and other local non-profit organizations that advance, support, and enhance arts and culture within the city.” The first round of arts and culture grants was awarded in early 2024. The tourism initiative is now in development and is budgeted at $125,000 for tourism promotion. |
