Don't miss The Mill Multimedia Art Exhibit Opening!

On September 11, The Mill, a multimedia exhibit by artist Russell Gendron, opens at the library.

The Mill Exhibit Opening

  • Wednesday, September 11
  • 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Based on his own experience working at a sawmill as a teen, Gendron weaves together sound art and memory quilts to tell the stories of BC's forestry workers.

The exhibit features soundscapes made from machine rhythms and personal interviews, as well as quilts made from workers’ clothing.

We're excited to showcase Russell's work a the library as he used some recorded interviews we hold in our archives.

There will be an introduction followed by a short Q&A period. You won't want to miss this opening night!
