Friends,

Over the past few days, you've probably seen a lot about the work we are doing at Rescue Outreach Mission as we launched our #GiveMe5 campaign.

We've showcased our efforts through Facebook and Instagram. We've texted out reminders to give. We've sent you a postcard reminder.

Now, I'm reaching out to you via email to get your help in sharing our mission.

You might have seen the statistics we shared this week.

Did you know 50,000 seniors are experiencing homelessness any given night?

Did you know 17 percent of children under 18 years old are experiencing homelessness in Florida every night?

Did you know there are nearly 2,500 veterans looking for shelter tonight in Florida?

These numbers are growing too. That's why I hope I can count on you to do up to five things this week.

  1. Give $5, $15, $50 or $500.
  2. Share one of our Facebook posts
  3. Follow our Instagram Page
  4. Forward this email to your friends
  5. Sign up to volunteer.

We've made it easy for you to do this. Just visit our special #GiveMe5 campaign page and you'll find all the links you need and learn more about what we do.

Thank you for helping us help our community,

Chris Ham

Executive Director

Meet our guest C.J.

C.J. came to Rescue Outreach Mission in August after living in his truck and on the street for two years and when his truck was towed, C.J. had nowhere to go.

Soon after arriving, ROM case management arranged for him to get transportation to the impound lot so he could get his clothes and important documents from the truck. They connected him with Rusty's Bike Repair, who gave him a bike for transportation.

With these in hand, C.J. was able to secure a job at a local restaurant and start moving forward.

C.J. worked hard and saved his money until he was ready to move into housing and Rescue Outreach Mission connected him with a local landlord.

When asked about his experience at Rescue Outreach Mission, CJ said: "I'm grateful to Rescue Outreach Mission because they helped me in really the lowest point in my life."

Rescue Outreach Mission featured on Fox 35

Did you see Rescue Outreach Mission on the news lately. Both Fox 35 and Univision visited our shelter to talk about the number of children and families experiencing homelessness today.

We have a waiting list for families who need our services and have more than three dozen children regularly staying as our guests.

It's a tremendous problem that is getting significantly worse.
