What is Going On? An Intro to Puberty and Sexuality (July 10)
This presentation will teach you how to use behavioural strategies to prepare for, and minimize, the challenges associated with puberty for teens with autism.
Did your child or youth recently receive a diagnosis of autism? Although autism doesn’t define your child, you probably want to know how you can support your child/youth to be successful.
In-Person Coffee and Conversation (for parents of Youth 12 yrs +)
Caregivers/parents can attend, in-person, to share their experiences, information, challenges, successes and strategies, or just hang out and drink some coffee!
Through playing Minecraft together, participants will have the opportunity to interact with other youth, learn how to communicate effectively, and work together to overcome challenges.
Join us online one Friday a month for a group structured around two common themes: FUN and FRIENDS. Youth-aged siblings are also more than welcome to attend.
Come join Horizons for a variety of dining experiences from planning, cooking, eating, to restaurant etiquette and socializing at a local eatery in your community.
We'll be bowling for an hour, followed by a stop for ice cream at Dairy Queen. Come have some fun with friends, while getting some low-impact physical activity.
Getting Ready for School - Child & Parent (3-5 yrs)
Join us for this fun introduction to school for young children with special needs who have not had a previous preschool experience. Take a peek at typical kindergarten activities and routines each day.
Campers will explore and participate in a variety of activities each day including: crafts, active games, sports, music, stretching, outdoor activities and water play.
London Children's Museum Summer Camp - Backyard Biology (4-9 yrs)
This inclusive camp will feature themed hands-on activities. With Backyard Biology your child will discover a magnificent and microscopic world hiding right in your own backyard.
