Spring has sprung and your Pottsboro Chamber of Commerce is excited about the upcoming season! If you haven’t voted, you need to mark your calendar for May 4 th! We have elections for both Pottsboro City Council and Pottsboro School Board. Both elections are important for the future of Pottsboro. You can vote at St John the Apostle Episcopal Church at 760 W FM 120 in Pottsboro on Saturday, May 4 th , from 7am to 7pm . Your vote matters!

Running for Pottsboro City Council: Gary Utsler, Zach Lovelace, John Pack, Mark Owens, Bobby Hancock, Michael Stringfield.

Running for Pottsboro School Board: Doyle Roy, Jr, Audrey Perdue, Casey Shires, Mike Springer.

We are excited to announce that on May 13th we will be hosting our annual Burgers and Benefits at 11:30am! Do you know someone who could benefit from being a member of our Chamber? Invite them to join you at this casual lunch! We will chat, network, and talk about the Membership benefits of the Pottsboro Chamber of Commerce. Remember, we are the only Chamber in our area that offers both business and social membership which offers both Business

Mark your calendar for May 18 th ! Our May Mix & Mingle will be hosted by the ladies of the Lovelace & Company Insurance office. Come join in the fun on May 18th, 5:30-7pm. Lovelace & Company is located at 421 W FM 120 in Pottsboro. Bring your business cards and enjoy networking with all in attendance. It’s guaranteed to be a great time! I may be biased, but I think this will be the best event of the month! 😊

Last but not least, we are gearing up for Frontier Day 2024. If you would like to join one of our great committees, reach out to Missy at the Chamber office and she can plug you in! Our next planning meeting will be on Tuesday, May 28th , at the Chamber office. The fun will begin at 6:00!

There is a NEW NETWORKING OPPORTUNITY for our business members scheduled for June 18th at 11:30am. This event will be held at Napoli’s Italian Restaurant in the back

room. This event is called the Chamber Business Builders and is a working lunch meeting. We will provide all attendees time to speak to the group where each can explain details about their business, share who their targeted clientele is, and ask for specific referrals from the group. At

each meeting we will have one presenting speaker who will have approximately 10 minutes to discuss their business and business needs in detail. Please be on the lookout for an invitation where you can pre register for this event. We will be holding the Business Builder events every other month starting in February and it will be held on the 3rd Tuesday, so mark your calendars now!

Join us at the Pottsboro Library as we have coffee together, meet your neighbors and visit with community leaders from Pottsboro. Refreshments will be served. The panel will vary by meeting. This Community Chat we will have our new Chamber President Casie Lovelace and our Mayor giving us updates about what's going on in Pottsboro. We hope you'll join us from 8:15am - 9:15am on July 9th!

June 23-29 (teen camp - those who have completed the 7th grade)

In collaboration with the American Veterans Traveling Tribute and the VFW Lake Texoma Post #7873, Preston Trail Chapter, NSDAR would like to invite everyone to join us in welcoming the tribute escort as it passes through Pottsboro to the VFW Post to be displayed. This is a great honor for our town and the convoy will be a treasure to see in person. We are expecting over 200 motorcycles and countless corvettes who will have veterans from Clyde Cosper riding inside. We need as many people as we can to hold flags and give this tribute the welcome it deserves. Flags will be provided or you can bring your own. Bring a chair! Starting at Friendship Park, we will sit/ stand by the road, waving flags and cheering the convoy on. You can park at Friendship Park, Pottsboro Elementary or the parking lot in front of Wonder 6 playground. Let’s make this a big thing!

Whether you're a seasoned event planner or simply passionate about supporting your community, we welcome your involvement. Your ideas, energy, and enthusiasm are invaluable in ensuring the success of Frontier Day. We invite you to attend our planning meeting, where we will discuss ideas, assign tasks, and kick off the preparations for Frontier Day 2024. This is your chance to play a vital role in shaping our community's most anticipated event of the year.
