VR's ArtCIE Website is Live!

The Florida Department of Education's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation recently launched the website for their ArtCIE initiative. ArtCIE works to identify job opportunities for Floridians with disabilities, with a primary focus on careers in the arts, entertainment and recreation fields.

High School High Tech Events

Pinellas Students Make a Splash in Tampa Bay

This month, Florida High School High Tech students from Pinellas County took part in a hands-on career exploration activity through Tampa Bay Watch. The students learned about a wide range of conservation efforts and related career pathways through activities involving water-testing, marine wildlife and more. Kudos to ServiceSource for organizing this exciting event for the students!

Census Data Update: Education Attainment on the Rise

The Able Trust recently released the 2024 Annual Census Update report, which provides an overview of education, employment and earnings data for Floridians with disabilities. This most recent data indicates an increase in the percentage of individuals with a disability who have completed some college coursework and/or a bachelor's degree or higher.


The report also highlights changes in the population of Floridians with disabilities, employment growth, differences in labor force participation and more. To download a copy of the report, visit www.abletrust.org/research.
