Do you want to operate a power boat (or jet ski) in NJ?

Here's how it works:



• You must take an approved NJ boating safety course
• The course is open to anyone, at least 13 years of age
• Upon successful completion of the test at the end of the course, you will receive a lifetime NJ boating safety certificate
• This certificate is required when operating ANY type of power boat, including a jet ski, on NJ waterways

What Does Safety 1st's Course Provide?

• A fun and informative class setting which meets all of the NJ requirements
• Additionally, our instructors will also share their extensive knowledge of NJ waterways.
• This knowledge is essential to safely navigating the very tricky waterways in and around the back bays of New Jersey.

When Do Classes Begin?

• Classes will start the week of April 2nd
• Class locations include Mt. Laurel, Vineland, Washington Twp. and Absecon

Founded by chief instructor Lew Donovan, a USCG-certified, licensed captain with 40 years of boating experience, Safety First Boating School opened its doors for business in 2001. Since then we have grown to become South Jersey’s largest private boating school, conducting more than 50 state-approved classes each season.

All courses are taught by USCG-licensed captains, and designed to be engaging, educational, and fun.
