Rediscovering My Heart

A Christian heart is a heart that feels all that there is to feel, without fear or hesitation. It knows that in feeling deeply, one enters into the fullness of what it means to be human and becomes most fully sister or brother to all of humanity.
A Christian heart sees clearly because it rejects all choices that would block vision. All the world is a painting, and the Artist Himself can be seen in the masterpiece if one looks at the whole ... no matter what it asks ... no matter the cost.
A Christian heart is one that is. It becomes all that it feels, so that its sensitivity can call others to feel too ... to feel for their sisters and brothers ... to feel with them. It becomes all that it sees, both the joys and the pains, both the longings and sorrows, so that it can be all things to all people.
A Christian heart in its feeling, in its seeing, in its becoming, indeed in its very being, is a lover and a maker, a lover of peace, a maker of peace, among all of God's people, throughout all of the earth.
