The Fremont Township Highway Department needs you to keep your cars off the roads tonight so the plows can get through safely. Please remind your neighbors. Not everyone receives my email newsletter so please forward this.
A Winter Storm Warning will be in effect from 9 p.m. this evening to 6 p.m. Monday. Snow accumulations of 6 to 8 inches, ice, and blowing and drifting snow is expected. The heaviest snow will be between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. - which will impact morning commutes.

Report An Outage To ComEd
You can report your electric outage online, including on your smart phone or tablet. If you prefer, call them 24/7 at 1-800-EDISON-1 (1-800-334-7661)

You can quickly and easily report your outage via text message, mobile app or ComEd Facebook app. Online services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Listen To Lake County Radio Station For Emergency Information
Tune in to 1620 AM. Highway Advisory Radio 1620 AM communicates real time traffic information directly to Lake County motorists. Broadcast information includes location of delays due to crashes, construction and extreme traffic congestion to help motorists in planning their commute.
Did you know you can view camera images, and condition of roads at intersections through the the Lake County Division of Transportation Passage Page? Check  Lake County PASSAGE  for real-time, local traffic information. Through PASSAGE you can also sign up for   email traffic alerts ,   twitter alerts , and  smartphone apps .
In the Layer Options menu, choose "Cameras", then click on the camera image to see what is happening at the intersection you want to see. This can help you plan your route home. Throughout snow season you can also find information on  LCDOT's Facebook Page .
Things To Keep In Your Car

Prepare For Emergencies By Taking CERT Class
The Fremont Township Cert Team is here to educate our residents on what to do in the case of an emergency.

Fremont CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) is offering their great six-week annual training program that covers these important topics:
       Disaster Preparedness
       Fire Safety
       First Aid Skills
       Light Search & Rescue Operations
       Disaster Psychology
       Terrorism
Taking this FREE class gives you crucial lifesaving information for you and your family—with an option to join Fremont CERT and help others as well. Our spring class at the Fremont Township office will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm, from February 13-March 20, 2019. While the Countryside Fire Protection District works hard to prevent fires, when they do occur there is an important resource in your neighborhood that your firefighters rely on–FIRE HYDRANTS! To find out more and to adopt a fire hydrant, click here.

We accept diaper donations for children and adults. If you have diapers you are no longer in need of, please consider donating them to Fremont Township. We do accept open bags.
