Register for the STEM Family Adventure Camp!

Join us for STEM Family Adventure Camp! Family Adventure Camp is an overnight camping experience designed to give Cub Scouts and their families an exciting adventure this summer while earning the Fearful Symmetry NOVA Award! While at the event, participants will go camping, participate in shooting sports, games, crafts, campfires and spending quality time with their family!

Send Your SPL to Camp an Extra Week for Free!

The SPL2B program is a chance for a Senior Patrol Leader to come to camp FOR FREE a week or two before their troop and work on advancement and camp honor requirements. By coming to camp early and staying with a host troop, a SPL will be able to give their own troop the attention they will demand when they are in camp. Learn more on page 13 of the Summer Camp Leader Guide. After filling out the application, send it to buckeye.council@scouting.org.

Pre-Order Operation Flag Patches

Scouts can participate in Operation Flag this Memorial Day or Independence Day by completing two of the following:

  • Decorate veteran graves with flags
  • Take part in a Memorial Day event
  • Retrieve Flags after the Holiday
  • Write an essay “Why do we celebrate Memorial Day/Independence Day"


Pre-order patches now to be delivered directly to your house when they arrive. There will be a limited supply available for those who do not pre-order.

Mansfield Scout Service Center Updates

The Mansfield Scout Service Center, located at 40 W. 4th Street in Mansfield is open Monday-Friday, 8:30-5 pm; closed12:30pm to 1:30pm for lunch.


Advancements and awards may be purchased by emailing advancement reports and award lists at least one day prior to pick up to Kim Messersmith and scheduling a pick-up time. Applications, Eagle workbooks, reference letters, etc. may be dropped off at our Mansfield location. Stop by and purchase Scout handbooks, merit badge sashes, Pinewood Derby cars, unit numbers, council patches, World Crest emblems, Eagle plates, Eagle napkins, etc.

RSVP for the Popcorn University & Join Scout Night Kickoff

Attend an upcoming in-person Popcorn University / Join Scout Night Kickoff to receive all the latest information on the 2023 Popcorn and Join Scout Night campaigns, pick-up materials for both JSN and Popcorn, share camaraderie with fellow Scouters, and score some excellent door prizes!

Learn to Lead at NYLT

NYLT (National Youth Leadership Training) is a six-day program for Scouts BSA and Venturing youth that provides leadership skills and experience you can use in your home troop and other situations demanding leadership of yourself and others. Registration is now open for the 2023 course that will be held at Seven Ranges Scout Reservation, July 30-August 4.


We are also looking for NYLT Staff! If you've attended NYLT in the past, you're invited to serve on staff for this year. Contact us if interested.

Exciting News! Pop Up Shop in Bellville

On Saturday, May 20, 2023, 10:00 am-1pm, a Pop-Up Scout Store will be at Palm Park, 4777 Bellville North Rd., Bellville, Ohio. Yes, this is the same day as Family Adventure Camp.

For your convenience, we accept cash, check and credit card. Mark your calendar and please stop by. Below is a partial list of items that will be available to purchase.

Cub Scout Summer Camp Exciting Changes

This 4-day, 3-night camp provides adventurous activities that keep campers excited for months after the closing campfire. Bring your whole pack, your whole den, or your family to Cub Scout Summer Camp!

  • Open to All Cub Scouts: For the first time ever, all Cub Scouts (Lions through Arrow of Light Scouts) are invited to attend Cub Scout Summer Camp! 
  • Easier Than Ever for Parents to Attend: It’s easier than ever to attend Cub Scout Summer Camp with your child! Cub Scout parents or legal guardians attending Cub Scout Summer Camp with their own child or legal ward are not required to register as leaders.
  • Medical Form Changes: Both youth and adults attending camp must complete the BSA Medical form parts A and B, only.

Get BALOO Trained at Cub Scout University

Mark your calendar for Cub Scout University, 9/30-10/2 at Camp Akela! This is a diverse training experience combining BALOO STEM, P.R.A.Y., first aid, cooking, Scoutbook, and much more into a fun and exciting weekend adventure for all Cub leaders. Sessions include Leave No Trace, safe scouting practices, flag presentation, crafting ideas, parents as leaders, knot tying, GPS and compass, games for Cubs, pack planning, fundraising, and more!

Seven Ranges is Hiring!

Looking for a fun and rewarding summer job? Consider being on Seven Ranges Scout Reservation camp staff! You’ll have great new experiences too as you challenge yourself.



Camp Staff members are given room and board for the summer in a cabin. Staff members 15 years of age and older are compensated competitively compared to other camps. Three meals a day are provided for the duration of summer camp, along with laundry facilities. The camp staff run activities, plan programs, and instruct campers that come through our summer camps.

Adult Volunteer Opportunities at Camp McKinley & Seven Ranges

Both Camp McKinley and Seven Ranges are always looking for adult volunteers to come out to camp to do repair projects. Head out to Seven Ranges on Tuesdays to gather with the Busy Beavers or the second Saturday at Camp McKinley to join the White Eyes volunteer group!
