Dear District 3 Resident,

As we celebrate Earth Day this weekend, we are reminded of the importance of bringing awareness to air and water pollution. The first Earth Day was held in the year 1970. Our efforts as a community toward a clean environment continues.

Two weeks ago, District 3 residents participated in the Spring cleaning event, picking up trash in surrounding neighborhoods of Brenner Park. These beautification events help us connect with one another and keep our community clean.

Please keep an eye out for the next clean-up event and I hope you will join us!

Celebrating Earth Day

Join the Pasadena Unified School District for an Earth Day and Science Fest event on April 22nd from noon to 5pm at John Muir High School Early College Magnet. Many City Departments will be participating including: Pasadena Fire, Pasadena Police, Public Health, Public Works, Transportation and Water and Power.

Join The Department of Public Works at the new Community Compost Hub training on Sunday, April 23, 2pm to 3pm at Allendale Park (North side of the park). Composting food scraps is a simple and effective way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help stop climate change.

Winter Shelter Site - Request for Information

Responses due by April 30, 2023

On March 31, The City of Pasadena Department of Housing released a Request for Information (RFI) which seeks to gather information from property owners, faith-based organizations, non-profits and other community-based organizations willing to consider using their site(s) to host the winter shelter this year. Responses are due in the City's e-procurement system by April 30. Anyone interested in submitting a response will need to register in OpenGov.

The RFI can be accessed by visiting the OpenGov Procurement website.
