Spice up your club meetings with innovative and entertaining table topics. Table Topics are a great way to get guests involved in a meeting and for new members to practice impromptu public speaking. You don’t have to do just questions for table topics.
District 27 invites you to learn different styles and formats of Table Topics to help better the quality of your club meetings. This interactive workshop will introduce 9 table topics ideas you can implement in your next club meeting. Learn how to level up your table topics and thereby make your meetings even more fun and welcoming to guests and members.
If you have any questions, please contact District 27 Director Jeanna Lee, DTM, at dd27@d27-tm.org.

Inspirational Message of the Month
STRESS & MENTAL HEALTH
| |
Are you feeling stressed, full of anxiety or unable to focus on most days? Taking inventory of your mental health should be a top priority. When your mind is unstable, you have the potential of living a life that follows the same path. Only you know your feelings. As you go through life, it’s ok, not to be ok, but it’s not ok to remain there. This is where the practice of self-care can put you on the right track, not necessarily giving you that perfect life, but instead equipping you with the tools needed to assist in handling situations that may come your way.
Begin now to put in the work to figure out ways to alleviate any feelings that negatively affect your mental health. Here are just a few things to consider: try breathing exercises, make sure you get enough sleep, healthy eating, journaling, listening to music that relaxes the mind, exercise, take a walk, leaning on your faith by praying and meditating, etc. In some cases, being around other people can help boost your mood and brighten your mental health. Find an event to attend or plan an event. When you keep busy, within reason, this can also assist with creating a positive mental attitude.
Also, never let anyone shame you for feeling the way you feel. Strive to find a safe person and/or place where you can speak freely, in confidence with what is going on in your life. Remember, at some point in your life, it is ok, not to be ok, but it’s not ok to remain there!
Sincerely,
Deborah Jones
