November 2, 2023
Dear District 113 Community,
The Township High School Board of Education has begun the search for a new superintendent. We have selected SCHOOL EXEC CONNECT, an educational search firm, to assist us in this process. The timeline for community engagement, recruiting candidates and completing the interview process is intended to yield the very best candidates possible for the new District 113 Superintendent.
We are interested in receiving your input about the new superintendent. We would appreciate it if you would fill out an online survey that will be available from our website and in various communications from November 6-13. Please check the District website on November 6 for the survey link. When launched, it will be located in an orange banner at the top of the District 113 homepage.
Findings from the survey and numerous focus group conversations will be used to develop a New Superintendent Profile that will be reported to the Board on November 28, 2023 at the regularly scheduled Board meeting.
As we move forward, our most important consideration is securing the strongest candidate pool and ultimately the best person to lead our great District. To that end, the Board of Education has decided to conduct a confidential search and only the final candidate’s name will be announced publicly.
The Board of Education looks forward to your support and assistance with this very important undertaking. Please feel free to contact the lead consultant, Dr. Kevin O’Mara, assisting us if you have any questions or comments regarding the search.
Please watch your inbox for additional emails from Search@dist113.org. School Exec Connect is building a schedule of meetings and will be providing other opportunities for input, and you will receive emails about those opportunities from Search@dist113.org. That email address is being used to ensure that questions you may have are easily available to School Exec Connect to answer.
We look forward to your input as we search for a new superintendent to lead Township High School District 113.
Sincerely,
Daniel Struck
President, Board of Education
