Together We are making Palmetto Bay An Even Better Place To Live, Work, Learn And Play!

Dear Friends and Neighbors:

Happy Monday, Palmetto Bay! Tonight we have our Regular Zoning Hearing at 7 pm at Village Hall. You can attend virtually or in-person. Click here for the agenda. Click here to see how you can participate.

It's Earth Month and we celebrate it in a big way! In addition to our ladybug releases, tree planting, and art contest with our schools we have lots of activities going on through out the month including our tree giveaway (registration is closed for this), a Bike Ride and Wellness Fair, Tree of the Year (registration is closed for this), and Recycling event. Click here or on flyers below to learn more or visit the webpage at www.palmettobay-fl.gov. It takes all of us working in big and small ways to reduce our carbon footprint and make Mother Earth and more sustainable place to live. Click here to learn about all we are doing in Palmetto Bay.

Mark your calendars for the return of our Spring Recycling Drive-Thru on April 27! This is your chance to safely dispose of old electronics like computers, TVs, and printers along with household hazardous waste including light bulbs, batteries, paint, and gasoline. We'll also take paper items and will shred sensitive documents, and you can even drop off used clothing. Our drive-thru system makes it quick and easy to dispose of hard-to-recycle items while protecting the environment! You must be a resident of Palmetto Bay.

Resident involvement has always been one of Palmetto Bay’s greatest assets, and now we would love your participation in another important project. On April 30, 2024, the Village will host a Hybrid Public Informational Meeting regarding the Resilience Action Plan in our Village Council Chambers at 5 pm. This will be the first of two public meetings held throughout this process and is designed to give a public update on our progress so far while allowing guests to ask our Village staff and our consultants WSP any questions they may have. Click to learn how you can be involved.

I look forward to seeing you in and around the Village for the upcoming meetings and events! A special thank you to our amazing staff for all of their hard work to make our Village an amazing place to live, work, learn, and play. As always, I encourage you to stay tuned into reliable information sources. You can subscribe to the Village Newsletter by clicking here and Download our Palmetto Bay Connect and Street by Street Apps. As always, I am here to answer questions or lend a helping hand. I can be reached at kcunningham@palmettobay-fl.gov or at 305-799-0695.
