Helping Others Gain Skills And Sight:

After making memories volunteering with Friends in Sight and sharing so many moments that touched my heart, I have now found a new calling. I enjoy teaching and educating new Lions to gain self-confidence, a sense of purpose, and a sense of community along with understanding the Friends in Sight experience through hands-on training. Educating new Lions on the mission helps them continue to volunteer and make their own memories to share.

New To Friends in Sight?

Lions clubs in Southern California are dedicated to improving their communities and the world through various fundraising activities and service projects. The vision screenings that you help provide with our organization are unbelievably impactful to those in need throughout your community. Since 1925, Lions have been committed to serving and advocating for the blind and visually impaired, a mission that continues to this day.

Our non-profit organization, managed by dedicated Lions from Southern California like you, provides a mobile unit equipped with vision testing equipment, diagnostic instruments, recycled eyeglass inventory, and trained experts to conduct screenings and educate fellow Lions. The Friends in Sight service area covers 7 Southern California Lions Districts and Mexico Lions clubs along the northern border (Mexico events are temporarily on-hold).

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who generously contributed to funding the first of two vans! Your unwavering support has brought us one step closer to achieving our goal of replacing both transport vehicles by June 2023. We urge you to spread the word about our mission and the urgent need for assistance in your community. With the collective effort of our neighbors and local businesses, we can come together to reach the crucial milestone of replacing both of our vans!
