Eva's Pentwater Perspectives
Dear Members, Volunteers, Visitors and Residents,
Where Did August Go?
As I sit down to write this, I can’t help but wonder, what happened to August? It feels like July was just yesterday, and now, summer is winding down. We made the most of every moment, soaking up the sun and enjoying as many beach days as possible.
One question I often get around this time of year is (twice today actually, once at the office and once by Wendy at the Post Office), "Are you glad summer is over? Can you finally relax?" My answer is always the same - no, I’m not glad it’s over and relaxation isn’t on the horizon just yet! I love everything that summer brings, from meeting new faces, both the furry four-legged kind and their friendly two-legged companions, to seeing familiar faces return year after year, especially at Homecoming.
As we transition into fall, my work (it's mostly too enjoyable to call it that) is far from slowing down. In fact, I’m gearing up for my busiest time of the year. There’s a lot to be done such as updating memberships, finalizing the calendar, and preparing for 2025, just to name a few behind the scenes tasks. The quieter streets may signal the end of summer to some, but for me, it’s the beginning of another enjoyable and productive season.
Time may fly by especially when we're all having a good time. I hope you take a moment while in Pentwater to soak in the sun, enjoy the breeze, catch a sunset and simply enjoy. Create the memories and be sure to visit us this fall! Now it's back to work for me, need to get ahold of the restaurants to see what their fall hours may be...Wish me luck!
Here's to a year filled with excitement, memorable moments, and continued growth for our beloved Pentwater community.
Warm regards,
