Grace, Paducah, to host
'Lenten Quiet Day'
Grace, Paducah, is hosting "Lenten Quiet Day: Living as Clay ... Placing our Lives in the Potter's Hands" on Saturday, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 24, in the fellowship hall. Love offerings are welcome for the free event. There will be an opening prayer, followed by reflections from presenter Susie Uhlik. A flyer for the event is available here.

Trinity, Russellville, debuts Laundry Love service
 For Trinity, Russellville, Feb. 17 marked the opening of Laundry Love, an outreach event offering free laundry services and friendship among volunteers and community members. The Rev. Dr. Michael Vollman called the event an enormous success.
"People were already waiting in line when we arrived, and by our best estimate, 250 loads of laundry were done
in four hours," he said.
"It was an amazing time. One participant told me, 'This is what caring for your neighbor should look like.'"

Join Volunteer Day at All Saints
Help All Saints Center prepare for the summer season by volunteering to help rake, plant, and clean the center's campus, ahead of Spring Gathering and Summer Camp. Refreshments will be provided from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 10.

A Christian Formation Retreat will be held March 13 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at All Saints Camp and Conference Center, 833 Hickory Grove Road, Leitchfield. This event is designed for all formation leaders seeking an opportunity to experience the "3 Rs of Christian Formation": revitalization, reconnecting, and reengaging.

The draft budget for the Episcopal Church in the 2019-2021 triennium is available for viewing here. The draft budget was approved by the Episcopal Church Executive Council at its January meeting.

Application deadline for new grant program is March 16
The Local Mission and Ministry Committee of the Executive Council, in collaboration with the Episcopal Church's Evangelism Initiatives Team, is offering $2,000-8,000 for proposals under the new Episcopal Evangelism Grants program. The application deadline is 5 p.m. March 16. Read more here.

2018 ECF Fellowship applications available
The application process for the 2018 Fellowship is currently open, and the application deadline is Friday, March 16, 2018.
Applicants to the Fellowship Partners Program must choose to apply to either the academic or ministry track of the ECF Fellowship Partners Program.
The 2018 Fellows will be announced by May 25, 2018.

ERD responds to crises in Zymbia, Syria
Episcopal Relief & Development is seeking donations to the International Disaster Response Fund, helping those affected by cholera in Zambia and other crises worldwide. More details are available here.
ERD is also working with the Fellowship of Middle East Evangelical Churches (FMEEC) to respond to the needs of people displaced by the ongoing unrest in Syria

Latino Ministry Competency session registration now open
Two sessions of the Episcopal Latino Ministry Competency are now open for registration. The sessions offer a nine-day intensive course designed for diocesan staff, clergy, lay leaders, and seminarians to learn cultural competency for Latino ministry. Prayer in Action Days at the State Capitol

The Kentucky Council of Churches is continuing its Prayer in Action Days at the State Capitol to pray for government officials and act on behalf of Kentucky's most vulnerable citizens. The Prayer in Action schedule is available here.
The next gathering, 9:30 a.m. Feb. 27 in the Capitol Rotunda, will focus on a "smoke-free tomorrow." All Episcopalians are welcome to join in the Action Day. Clergy who participate are asked to wear stoles to the event.
