The Bishop and Canons will offer a reflection each week during Advent and Christmas, through the Feast of the Epiphany. This year, the reflections are based on the themes found in the weekly collects.

Congregational Leadership Conference scheduled for Feb. 17
Open to all vestry members, treasurers, stewardship chairs, clergy, audit committee members, and any other congregational leaders, the Congregational Leadership Conference is for those interested in an opportunity to share, discover, and learn the best practices for congregational health and growth. This free diocesan event is Feb. 17. More information is available here.

The Rev. Shirota instituted as 20th rector of St. Paul's
 On Nov. 30, the Rt. Rev. Terry White instituted the Rev. Andrew Kunihito Shirota as the 20th rector of St. Paul's, Louisville, on the Feast of St. Andrew. Since February 2016, Shirota had served as Priest in Charge of St. Paul's. He is a graduate from
Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, Class of 2009.

Ordination of Rebecca Kello to the priesthood at Christ Church, 1215 State St., Bowling Green. Deacon Kello is currently serving as the associate rector of Christ Church, Bowling Green, and as chaplain to the Episcopal Campus Ministry at WKU.

March 2-3. The next Brennan Lecture Series will be March 2-3, 2018, at St. Matthew's Church, 330 N. Hubbards Lane, Louisville. Entitled "Church Leadership in a New Missionary Age," next year's Brennan Lecture Series will showcase the Rt. Rev. Charles "Andy" Doyle, the ninth and current Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. Registration and more details forthcoming. A flyer for the event is available

April 27-28. Storytelling as Evangelism at Christ Church, 1215 State St., Bowling Green. "How to Connect our Story with the Never-ending Story" features Bishop Porter Taylor, who served as the sixth bishop of the Diocese of Western North Carolina. Nov. 9-10. The 191st Diocesan Convention will be hosted by St. Paul's, 5 S. Green St., Henderson.

ER&D responds to California wildfires
Episcopal Relief & Development is partnering with the Episcopal D
iocese of Los Angeles to provide emergency support to help the most vulnerable impacted by the wildfires spreading across Southern California.
This assistance includes gift cards and spiritual care for homeless and undocumented people in Ventura, Ojai and Santa Paula.
Donations to the
US Disaster Fund
will help those affected by the devastating wildfires in California.

, including free resources to oversee a faithful and meaningful Epiphany 2018. Designed for Adult Christian Formation, the six-week Epiphany Curriculum is ideal for congregations, individuals, adult forums, discussion groups, and other church-based gatherings.

2018 ECF Fellowship applications available
The application process for the 2018 Fellowship is currently open, and the application deadline is Friday, March 16, 2018.
Applicants to the Fellowship Partners Program must choose to apply to either the academic or ministry track of the ECF Fellowship Partners Program.
The 2018 Fellows will be announced by May 25, 2018.
