INTRODUCING ALICIA AMBROSIO
Communications Manager for the Diocese of New Westminster
Bishop John Stephens is pleased to introduce the new Communications Manager for the Diocese of New Westminster. After a lengthy search process, with a number of strong candidates, Alicia Ambrosio was selected to lead the Diocesan communications strategy into the coming months and years. Alicia brings with her a number of strengths in strategic communications development, writing, and first-hand experience of parish life in the Diocese of New Westminster.
Originally from Vancouver, Alicia has lived, studied and worked in Canada and Europe. She has a graduate degree in Communication, with a focus on journalism, and has extensive experience in media as well as communications and marketing in faith-based organizations. Most recently, Alicia served as Communications Manager at Christ Church Cathedral where she was part of a team that helped navigate the Cathedral through the Covid 19 pandemic. She brings to this new role at the diocese a passion for telling the story of the People of God in this time and place, an inquisitive mind, and - absolutely vital to creative comms work - her own espresso machine.
Welcome, Alicia!

BOOK LAUNCH - FAITH IN DOUBT
June 28, 2024 at 7:30pm– Christ Church Cathedral
Churches are declining throughout the West, and none of the big evangelism programs have made any difference. What if the problem isn’t programs, but that churches are speaking a language that isn’t understood in secular society? What if churches learned to speak secular? What would that sound like?
Harold Munn tells his own love story between faith and science, and the love story of a believer and an atheist, in his new book, Faith In Doubt. Its unveiling takes place with readings and conversations.
