If I'm not an Ottawa area long-term care worker, can I still receive the gift certificates?
No, unfortunately, due to our funding restrictions, the gift certificates are only available for Ottawa long-term care staff who attend the live sessions and complete the post-session survey. However, anyone can receive a certificate of attendance for attending the sessions.
Who is able to register for Dining to Learn?
The series is open to all healthcare workers and volunteers. Members of the general public are also welcome to attend, although the information in the sessions is geared towards healthcare workers and volunteers in long-term care.
Are the sessions recorded?
A link to the recording of each session will be sent out to all registrants a week after each session takes place.
Are these sessions held online?
These sessions will be held on Zoom. The Zoom meeting link will be emailed to all registrants prior to sessions along with a biography of the presenter and a detailed description of the session.
How do I get a certificate of attendance for attending one of the sessions?
To receive a certificate of attendance, you must complete a brief online evaluation after each session. The evaluation will be provided on Zoom at the end of each session and will also be emailed out to registrants around a week after the session ends.
I don't live in Ontario, Canada, but I would like to join the session live. What time zone is the session in?
