Performing cytology in-house allows us to rapidly assess a patient’s health and more specifically, diagnose – and begin treating – many conditions immediately. Naturally this is better for the patient and of great importance to nervous pet owners.
We use a digital microscopy platform for cytology and hematology samples by ScopioVet. And what a difference it has made in our ability to drastically reduce the time from sample submission (via the cloud) to diagnosis and treatment – typically in about an hour! We can access this expertise any time of day and receive rapid interpretation from a global team of clinical pathologists.
