AADPRT recruitment recommendations
The Recruitment Committee has developed recommendations for the 2024-25 application cycle. They are intended to provide the best possible interview season for applicants and programs by creating standardized guidelines and expectations to ensure a fair and equitable process.
Submitting an abstract for the APA Annual Meeting?
Consider an AADPRT endorsement. AADPRT has been asked by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) to sponsor up to five educational activities at each APA Annual Meeting. Sponsorship is an endorsement of an educational activity as aligned with AADPRT's mission and priorities. We may choose to sponsor educational activities of our members or to expand the reach of our educational efforts.
Women in medicine make gains, but obstacles remain
New AAMC data shows that the presence of women has grown as learners, teachers, and leaders, but pay disparities and gender harassment continue. The association will host a free webinar on July 24 to provide a snapshot of women's representation in these roles and highlight trends in advancement over time.
The ERAS team recently reached out to unregistered programs to encourage participation for the upcoming match. In an effort to reach 100% participation, ERAS has extended the program deadline to opt into signals to July 26th, 2024, to allow for more programs to complete their registration and indicate their program signal participation. You may register via the ERAS Program Management Tab in the PDWS if you have not done so already.
