Diaper Need Awareness Week

Next Monday begins Diaper Need Awareness Week across the country. Diaper need is an issue that impacts one out of every three caregivers nationally, and can have significant impacts on children and caregivers alike. Popular safety net programs like SNAP or WIC don’t actually pay for diapers for families. And with diaper prices on the rise, families need more help to afford this basic need.

As an organization deeply familiar with what happens when poverty is mistaken for child neglect, we are committed to addressing diaper need in Illinois. This week, please join us for a series of events to explore diaper need in Illinois and what can be done. For more information on how you can get involved in ending diaper need in Illinois, head to our campaign page
