The Kentucky Symphony Orchestra continues a nearly 80-year tradition of fun, multi-generational gatherings at the iconic concert bowl in Covington's Devou Park. Join us for a unique blend of nostalgia, variety, great music and audience participation within each program. We hope you enjoy the KSO's 24th Summer in the Park:
July 7   Class Reunion Remix
From 45s to mp3s!  

It's a class reunion celebration on the 8s (from '58 to '18) as the KSO's Boogie Band covers nostalgic favorites including The Beatles, Coldplay, Aretha Franklin, Camila Cabello, Bobby Brown, Barry Manilow, Aerosmith  and many more

August 4 Sombreros vs. Lederhosen
Cultural Music Appropriation!  

The KSO ventures south of the border, and to the land of sauerkraut and schnitzel to pair its own
Mariachi group with a Bavarian Polka Band.
Musical cultures collide as these groups will have
the audience singing, dancing and shouting "Ziggy-zaggy, ziggy-zaggy, oi, oi, Olé."

Sept 1  The Over-Tour of Broadway
Sampling Broadway's Golden Age

The KSO celebrates America's greatest musicals with 12 overtures dating from 1926-1964.  Broadway royalty is represented by composers George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Richard Rodgers, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Frederick Loewe, Jule Styne, and others.

Bring blankets and/or lawn chairs.  Admission is free though a
$5 donation per person is encouraged.  TANK shuttles run from Covington Catholic High School from 6 -7:30 p.m. and return after the concert ($1 each way). Concessions available.
