Mahalakshmi Ashtakam

नमस्तेऽस्तु महामाये श्रीपीठे सुरपूजिते ।

शङ्खचक्रगदाहस्ते महालक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तुते ॥१॥

Namastestu Mahaa-Maaye Shrii-Piitte Sura-Puujite |

Shankha-Chakra-Gadaa-Haste Mahalakshmi Namostute ||1||

Meaning:

Salutations to You O Mahamaya (the Primordial Cause of Creation); Who Abides in Sri Pitha (Her Abode) and is Worshipped by the Gods (Suras/Devas),

The one who holds the Conch (Shankha), Discus (Chakra) , and the Mace (Gada) in Her hands; 

Salutations to You, O Devi Mahalakshmi.

All Devotees are welcome with family and friends to come to their temple, have darshan and blessings during all temple pujas and events.

Note: Priests will start sankalpa approximately 10 to 20 minutes ahead of the scheduled Puja time. For multi day event, Sankalpa would be taken at the beginning of the first day of the event or at the start of the first event for multiple events in the same day

Appointment of Election Officer

The Board of Trustees of Sri Ganesha Hindu Temple and India Cultural Center of Utah announce that Mr. Amit Nair is appointed as Election Officer to conduct the elections in the year 2023 for office bearers for the years 2024 and 2025.

Nomination for the Year 2024-2025 Officers

The Nomination Book is open since Monday, September 4, 2023 and available at the Temple hall. Nominations are sought by Sunday, October 8, 2023 by 5 PM for several positions on the Executive Committee of the SGHT and ICC.

Announcement

Balaji Sudabattula who served as President of the Executive Committee of SGHTU and ICC resigned from the position due to personal reasons. Per the by-laws, Shashidhar Kundojjala was nominated and approved as the President for the remainder of the term, which is until December 31, 2024.

Balaji served the Temple as a Board member, and as a volunteer for several years, and will continue as a Lifetime Trustee. We thank Balaji for his service and wish him and his family the very best in the future.
