The hike ends at Mountain Dog Restaurant & Pub (6455 Main St. Westport, NY), where we will have the Grand Hike "après" party. Enjoy outdoor games and live music by Headwall Band from 4 pm to 7 pm. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. ONLY CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED IN THE OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINK TENT. The party ends at 7 pm.

HIKE ROUTE:  Reminder: It's been raining heavily. Wear waterproof boots and gaiters, and bring extra socks and a towel. Be careful on the trail and stay on the path. Thank you for being responsible.

FAQ:
  • Where should I park? Parking is available throughout Westport, NY, along the street near Ballard Park or other local parking areas. Our volunteers will be present to guide you to the designated parking spots, identifiable by their orange vests. We may direct you to the Essex County Fairgrounds as a last resort. PLEASE DO NOT PARK BEHIND MOUNTAIN DOG RESTAURANT & PUB.

  • Can I bring my dog? We are happy to welcome your furry friend on your hike if they are kept on a leash under your supervision. However, we cannot allow dogs on our shuttles. To ensure a pleasant and safe experience for all hikers, we recommend bringing well-trained and non-aggressive dogs while using non-retractable leashes.

  • What if I can only walk part of the 14 miles? Shuttles will be available throughout the day, stopping at each oasis to provide rides back to Westport.
