AACC Clauson Center Tour
On Tuesday, July 19, Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) hosted the Greater Annapolis Design District (GADD) for a tour of the Clauson Center for Innovation and Skilled Trades.

The Clauson Center was made possible strictly through donations and contributes to the AACC workforce development efforts. The Clauson Center also provides solutions to address the growing need for skilled trade workers in our community and help people establish rewarding careers in the skilled trades.

The 12,000 square foot center on the AACC campus was consciously designed to easily expand to accommodate future programs for adapting to job market demands. Currently, the center offers six inaugural programs in electrical, forklift operator, HVAC, plumbing, welding, carpentry, and low voltage telecommunications.

The purpose of AACC’s workforce development program(s) is to help support the needs of the local economy and businesses while helping people start successful careers.

The opportunity to tour the Clauson Center continues to strengthen the relationship between AACC and the Greater Annapolis Design District (GADD). The Greater Annapolis Design District (GADD) is working to develop future scholarships for AACC students in the skilled trades and architecture departments.
The GADD received editorial inclusion in the Towne Spotlight section of the August edition of What's Up? Annapolis. The Towne Spotlight section features local community and business news.

The Top Bathroom Trends to Keep on Your Radar in 2022
Your bathroom is meant to be a retreat, regardless of its size. For instance, you can lean into the charm of a small bathroom by outfitting it with bold wallpaper, or you can fill a spacious bathroom layout with a calming white color palette paired with wood accents, like a teak stool, and a fluffy bathmat for spa-like vibes. Weave in stylish accents like low-maintenance plants, vibrant window treatments and plush towels, and you have a picture-perfect space that offers the serenity you need to start and end your day.

To get you inspired to refresh your space in the new year, Good Housekeeping asked interior design pros to share the bathroom trends that are worth keeping on your radar in 2022.
