Board of Supervisors Meeting

The public is welcome to attend the Derry Township Board of Supervisors Meeting scheduled on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 7:00 pm. This meeting will be held in person at the Derry Township Administration Building, 600 Clearwater Road, Hershey, PA 17033.

Public Hearing

Notice of Hearing - The Derry Township Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 6:00 pm in the main meeting room of the Administration building of the Derry Township Municipal Complex, at 600 Clearwater Road, Hershey. The purpose of the hearing is to consider testimony and evidence and receive public comment on Conditional Use Application No. 2024-03, as filed by Creekview Lawn and Landscapes, LLC (“Applicant”) for the property located at 970 Bullfrog Valley Road, Hummelstown, PA, identified as Dauphin County Parcel No. 24-057-149. All interested parties are welcome to attend.

2024 Fall Street Tree Planting Program

The Township of Derry is planning to apply for free trees through the Tree Pennsylvania 2024 Fall Bareroot tree planting program. The Township would like to make these free trees available to homeowners in Derry Township for planting along the streets within the public right-of-way. Scam Jam! Hosted by Representative Tom Mehaffie

Hands-Only CPR with CPR Safety 411

Saturday, June 22, 10:30 am


In our CPR Essentials class, you'll learn fundamental life-saving skills in a relaxed, non-certification environment. This hands-on session covers CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants, as well as how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Our experienced instructors from CPR Safety 411 will guide you through the training, ensuring you gain confidence in responding to emergency situations. We'll also cover how to handle choking and opioid overdose situations. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and address specific concerns during the Q&A session. Vikings in Vinland with Kit's Interactive Theatre

The program combines history, music, dance, and improvisation, where audience members are cast right into the show! Set in Greenland in 993 A.D., becoming a Viking with Leif Ericsson's swashbuckling sister-in-law, "Gudrid," and sailing the historic voyage to Vinland. Norse tales, songs, and dances are all part of the journey. The last day to donate items for the Friends of the Hershey Public Library's annual book sale is June 29! To make this year's sale a success, we need your gently used books, DVDs, music CDs, board games, and puzzles. July Drive-In Movie at Shank Park

The Township of Derry Department of Parks and Recreation is excited to present our Movies at Shank Park. Bring the whole family to enjoy a fun-filled, charming movie in the park featuring "DC League of Super-Pets" on Friday, July 12, 2024 (Rain Date, July 13). Independence Day Hours

Did you know that the United States has been officially celebrating the 4th of July, the birth of American Independence, as a federal holiday for 154 years? What better way of celebrating American Independence than by poolside! Join us for a day of fun in the sun! The facility/pools will have special holiday hours on Thursday, July 4th: the facility will be open from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm and the Outdoor Pool from 12:00 to 4:00 pm!
