AL FRESCO FAST-TRACK PERMIT PROGRAM

 

The City of Los Angeles is excited to announce the launch of its Al Fresco Fast-Track Permit Program for existing businesses seeking to offer Al Fresco dining on private property. The Mayor’s Office in collaboration with the Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) and various City departments, has launched this new permitting program which will allow the City to streamline and expedite the process for issuing permits for outdoor dining on private property when certain criteria are met. LADBS CONNECTS WITH UCLA'S NSBE CHAPTER


Last quarter, our General Manager, Osama Younan, along with Zena Haddis, Structural Engineering Associate, and Jacyn Clayton, Senior Personnel Analyst, presented information about LADBS at UCLA's National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Chapter meeting. This event offered a unique opportunity to connect with potential job seekers in science and engineering, while also raising awareness about diversity in pursuing careers with LADBS and the City.

LADBS to Unveil Recruitment Video Showcasing Engineers


LADBS is working on the production of a recruitment video to be unveiled by the end of summer in order to recruit the next generation of engineers. The video will include testimonials from our valued staff and highlights the importance of their work in the development of the City of Los Angeles. LADBS engineers review and approve the construction plans for all types of commercial and residential buildings which are all around us. This recruitment video will be used in online job boards and shared on social media in order to inspire engineers to join our esteemed team.
