Greetings,
Without reaching out to design professionals, Information Sheet EG-02 Emergency Escape and Rescue Openings to Yard for R-3 Occupancies was suspended for permits filed after 10/22/2021. It is not uncommon in San Francisco for there to be lots that are shallow with rear yards that are less than 20 feet.
Suspending Information Sheet EG-02 will have a huge impact on many residential expansion projects, particularly ADU and UDU projects.
