School Status: 
All schools are scheduled for in person instruction for the week of Feb. 8th.
Please note that this could always change based on information received from the Department of Health and/or other sources. If our status changes, we will send additional information once the decision is made.  Parents should create plans in the event that fully virtual status is required. 

Help us keep the schools open by reporting any symptoms to the school nurse, keeping children home who are exhibiting symptoms or if anyone in the household is symptomatic or is waiting for test results. “When in doubt, keep them out!”

Reminder: Due to the ½ day schedule, we cannot utilize delayed openings and will need to conserve our snow days to keep the full Spring Break intact. As was detailed in prior communications, we will need to use virtual days in the event of snow closures sometimes. We have three days remaining for the school-year and this is not a typical year to say the least. For information regarding the process, Click here

The Denville Schools website is down as of 2 PM, Feb 5. We are receiving updates to status as our provider works to fix their outage issue.

Denville Schools Inclusive Preschool Program
This preschool program is for 4-5 year olds and is located at Lakeview School. The preschool is a 3 hour, 5 day a week program that follows the 10 month school calendar. Please click here for details.
Black History Month Poster Contest
Create a visual representation of the theme an “African American Hero that Inspires you!” The contest is open to grades 3 - 8. Submit competed posters by Feb. 26th. The district winner will receive $100 and there will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners by grade. Click here for more information.
Morris Hills Summer Acceleration Program
Summer Acceleration courses are open to students in grades 9-12 taking a course for the first time. Incoming 9th graders are welcome. All courses are aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and are designed to meet high school graduation. Click here for information.

Denville Recreation Baseball Registration Open
The 2021 Recreation Baseball Registration is now Open! We will not be collecting Registration Fees at this time due to the COVID-19 Situation. We are asking all interested players to register now so we can start to plan for the upcoming season. Please click here for information.
NY & NJ Climate Education Youth Summit
Join Eco Ambassadors for a week packed with inspiring panelists and skills oriented workshops on addressing climate change. The February 8-12 Summit is best for middle and high schoolers, but all are welcome Click here for details.
Join the FEMA Youth Preparedness Council
This program brings teens together from across the country that are interested and engaged in community preparedness. Students in grades 8 - 11 are eligible to apply. Applications are due March 7. Click here for details.

Denville Public Library is pleased to announce the launch of Brainfuse – on demand, anytime, anywhere eLearning for all ages and levels. HelpNow™ will be available to all Denville Library patrons with a valid library card from any computer with internet connection. Click here for more information.
Spring Soccer Registration is Starting
HUB Soccer of Denville spring registratin is starting for all divisions. The registration deadline is February 28. The season will start on Saturday, April 10. Please click here for more information.
Denville PAL Softball Registration
Recreational softball provides a safe outdoor exercise that your daughter can enjoy in the spring of 2021. Denville PAL has a holiday gift for you: $25 Spring Softball early registration fee which is normally $100. Please click here for details.
Renegades Lacrosse Registration
Register now for spring 2021 Renegades Lacrosse. The lacrosse program is for boys and girls in grades K - 8 in the school districts of Denville, Dover, Mine Hill, Rockaway and Wharton. Please click here for details.
Girls Scouts Winter Wonderland @ Home
Winter Wonderland @ Home is a five week virtual series on Wednesdays from 4 - 5 PM. It is open to girls K - 5th Grade who are not current girl scouts.  Please click here for the updated information.

Denville Schools Board Of Education Meeting
The Denville Board of Education held its meeting on January 25, 2021. Click the image to the right to view the meeting. 

Board Highlights from January 25th:
1. The board is committed to working hard to keep the tax impact as low as possible for the 21-22 school year. The budgeting process will continue through the months of February, March and April. The final budget hearing will take place on April 26, 2021.
2. ML King service project food drive going well. 
3. The Board took part in training with school board attorney Frances Febres on HIB laws
