School Status:
All schools are scheduled for in person instruction for the week of Feb. 1st.
Please note that this could always change based on information received from the Department of Health and/or other sources. If our status changes, we will send additional information once the decision is made. Parents should create plans in the event that fully virtual status is required.
Help us keep the schools open by reporting any symptoms to the school nurse, keeping children home who are exhibiting symptoms or if anyone in the household is symptomatic or is waiting for test results. “When in doubt, keep them out!”
Important information from the school nurses- Only PCR tests will be considered- rapid test (antigen) results will not be accepted for clearance to return to in-person school.
2021-2022 Kindergarten pre-registration opens Monday, February 1st, 2021.
Please complete the online form located at www.denville.org. Once you have completed the online pre-registration form, you will receive a confirmation email indicating to which school your child has been assigned. Denville Township School District also has a Flexible Attendance Zone, which means if you reside in this area your child may be assigned to either Lakeview School, 44 Cooper Road, or Riverview School, 33 St. Mary's Place. This placement decision is made based upon location and ability to provide timely transportation to the assigned school, not by family preference. Traditionally students that reside in this area have been assigned to Lakeview School. Our goal is to keep the Kindergarten class sizes equitable across both schools, with as few students possible. You are guaranteed a spot in one of the two elementary schools, but school assignment for those in the Flex Zone will be determined later in the spring, in order for us to balance the classrooms.
