Hello dear friends and clients,
 
What an amazing summer we have had! And...it's not over yet. The extent of beautiful weather and the health of our feeder markets has kept us all busy this summer, whether in real estate or any of the other businesses in the area. In fact, Glacier National Park saw an 11% increase to date this year compared to the same period last year (read the article here).

In Real Estate Market News...As we look back over the first 6 months of 2015 compared to 2014, we see some trends. In residential non-waterfront property, there is a 7% increase in number of new listings and a 6% decrease in number of closed properties. However, there is a 13% increase in sold volume and a 21% increase in average sales price. This means more listings at a higher listing price with a lower number of units sold. In residential waterfront, we are seeing more listings with higher sold prices with more of those properties coming from the Echo and Swan Lake areas. 

As we transition to late summer and fall, I am seeing quite a few price reductions throughout the listings in the valley. Even modest price reductions can stimulate the number of showings. 

I am super excited about the 6th Annual Crown Guitar Festival coming to Bigfork this August 30 through September 6th. We are so lucky to have so many accomplished
