Since the beginning of the Jewish tradition, the rabbinic  imagination has populated the world with fearsome demons (evil spirits). Some of these demons arise from ancient biblical traditions while other are relatively recent (medieval) additions. On December 20th, Rabbi Bearman will introduce us to some of the most memorable of these demonic figures including the goat-demon, Azazel, and the much-maligned Lilith who, in the last few decades, has become something of a feminist icon.
