Thursday 1/20: Monthly Lunch @ Z-bar
| | Attendace at the Z-bar luncheon has recently averaged from 16-18 brothers. |
Our monthly alumni lunch gathering at the Z-bar is next week, Jan. 20. Most brothers start to arrive about 11:45 am and gather in the back of the restaurant.
Select from the homemade cafeteria line or order from the sandwich menu -- the fried fish and grilled Ruben are highly recommended.
No reservations needed, just show up and join us for lunch. Although most of the guys are from the 60-70s, there is always someone you will know. Located at 2100 South Preston (at Lynn Street), Z-bar was a major hangout for DUs during the 1960--70's and is now one of Louisville hottest restaurant and bars. For more infrmation, contact Leon Wahba. |

90th Anniversary Table Captains Needed
| | Brothers from the 1951-56 filled this table at the 60th DU Anniversary in 2009. |
In April 2011, our chapter celebrates its 90th Anniversary (1921-2011), making DU the oldest fraternity on campus in continuous operation. We have a series of activities planned to mark the anniversary, including a special luncheon on Thursday, April 7. Class Table Captains. DU is currently recruiting volunteers to serve as table captains and encourage other DUs their your undergraduate days to attend the 90th Anniversary Luncheon and sit together at the same table. Once the luncheon invitations are mailed, we will send Table Captains a list (with contact Information) of brothers who where in the chapter at the same time to follow-up with and encourage to attend the luncheon. We hope to have a table of eight for every 5-6 years. Why volunteer to be a Table Captain? Because it guarantees that you will get to see the people you want to see. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend the 90th Anniversary Luncheon on Thursday, April 7, 11:15 am, University Club. Contact Rick Sneed today if you are willing to help as a Table Captain or service on the anniversary committee. We need volunteers!
